On the heels of several high profile U.S. police shootings, information has been released about shots fired at a Saskatchewan RCMP officer. Around 8:40 p.m. on July 20, a minivan fled north of Regina during an investigation by city police.   RCMP were advised there was a firearm in the van; officers from five detachments responded. About an hour later, near Punnichy, RCMP came upon the van as a man and a woman were fighting with a 65-year-old man.   Police said it appeared the pair were trying to steal the man's vehicle. They had a long-barrelled firearm, but no shots were fired.   When RCMP showed up, the two fled in the van down Highway 15. Moments later, a shot was fired at the RCMP vehicle. The pair was pulled over a while later without incident.  RCMP said none of their officers were injured and they didn't fire any shots in return. Keli William Stonechild, 24, faces 11 charges including attempted murder and robbery. Kristin Marie Lerat, 32, is charged with eight counts including attempted murder and robbery. Stonechild and Lerat make their first appearance in Regina Provincial Court July 25.
